Recognition Opportunities: You may make your donation in honor or memory of someone on the donation page or by writing a note with your check.
Donor Advised Fund
You can designate a gift from your Donor Advised Fund (DAF) to support Sound Salmon Solutions. Contact your financial advisor on how to direct your gifts.
Stock Gifts
Donating appreciated stocks, bonds, or mutual funds is an excellent way to support Sound Salmon Solutions while receiving potential tax benefits. IRA Distribution
If you are 70 1/2 years old or older, you can take advantage of a simple way to benefit Sound Salmon Solutions and receive tax benefits in return. You can give any amount up to $100,000 per year from your IRA directly to a qualified charity such as SSS without having to pay income taxes on the withdrawal.
Required Minimum Distribution (RMD)
Your RMD from your tax deferred retirement account can be donated to a non-profit resulting in
you paying no tax on the distribution and the charity will pay no tax and benefit from your gift.
Please consider having your RMD sent to Sound Salmon Solutions.
Employer Matching Donation
If your employer matches philanthropic gifts, your donation to Sound Salmon Solutions can be doubled! See if your employer will match your gift today! Here is a list of companies that match gifts to non-profits.
To our Boeing Supporters:
Boeing will match your gift 100% for current employees and 50% for retirees. You can make your match request through the Boeing company. Follow this guide on how to do this. Minimum gifts for matching are $25 and must be submitted by 12/31 of the year you gave.
Corporate Gifts
Sound Salmon Solutions welcomes partnerships with businesses and corporations of all sizes. Together, we can serve and inspire improved salmon habitat and recovery, community education and engagement. We welcome funding as well as volunteers. Planned Giving
You may be looking for a way to impact our future by planning a charitable gift.
Bequest
Bequests can easily be added to your will or revocable trust. This is the most popular type of planned gift. An attorney can help you include this language or you may contact Mary Brueggeman, Executive Director, at mary@soundsalmonsolutions.org for assistance in reviewing the many options in wording a bequest.
Life Insurance Policy
You can also name Sound Salmon Solutions as a beneficiary of your life insurance policy.
401K/403b/IRA

Vehicle Donation Program
You can donate your old car, truck, motorcycle, snow machine, jet ski, boat, or even plane! to us by clicking on the old car. Charitable Auto Resources will handle all the details of your donation from towing to tax receipts with no cost to you.
Fred Meyer Community Rewards
For every purchase you make at Fred Meyer they will make a donation to SSS! All you need to do is sign up for a Fred Meyer Rewards Card at the register then go home and create an online account for your Rewards Card. From your online account you can link your Rewards Card to SSS through their Community Rewards program. Click the Fred Meyer logo to go to the enrollment page and get your Fred Meyers's Rewards Card registered!
